Now, for many of you R Project trainees, the thought of passing all of these tests may seem like a pipe dream. That is until you consider that you could very well be working in the military field once you are finished with your studies. How would you feel then if you were able to fulfill your dreams of becoming a soldier? Of course you would be ecstatic!
You see, there is something called the H rc Army IRR (Human Resource Review). It is actually the standardized requirement that every military service branch must have in order to hire any new commissioned officer. The purpose of this standard is to ensure that every eligible candidate has had their civil life completely reviewed by a U.S. civilian review authority. If this standard is not met by your branch, your chances of being hired are greatly diminished.
But that’s not all. There is yet another prerequisite, and that is a General Ledger Certification (GLCA). You must also have completed the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) Examination Number Three. Once you pass either or both of these requirements, you will be placed on the waiting list for the GLCA.
While waiting for the GLCA, your military training may be limited to approved courses. So if you want a jump start in your career, it is important that you find a good training program that provides direct HRC certification as well. For example, I recently ran across an Air Force ROTC cadre who had been in the service for several years and was still stuck with the basic EIT and LTC training. Their official training program had been based on the USER (Unified Training Accreditation) System and they were working from outdated manuals.
Now obviously this isn’t the most ideal situation. But if you do happen to find yourself in this position, there are a couple of alternatives to consider. First, you can continue your training with the USER system. This may be the easiest solution because the system itself is very user-friendly. All you have to do is enter your data and the system will do the rest. In my experience, this option works great for military spouses, other personnel who are in the military, or those in the private sector looking for an ROTC education.
If that fails, your second option is to get a top-rated H RC Army certification course online. Just make sure that the provider you choose offers real-life classroom training. The old style training where you sit in a classroom and are supervised by a coach is not what military personnel want. They want to learn on their own and that is what makes classroom training so inferior.
There are several quality H RC Army certification programs available today, as well as the more affordable ones. Take the time to check out some of them and pick the one that best suits your needs. Then take the time to practice the training so that you can get a feel for it and ensure that you are comfortable with the methods and structure of the course. Once you are sure that you are ready to start training, you’ll be on your way to enjoying a successful ROTC career!
